WHAT WE ARE BUILDING

The number comes from the auction.

We do not own boats, employ crew, buy fish, or hold money. What we hold is the settlement, and its inputs come from where they actually originate.

    Shares are fixed before departure

    Who takes what proportion, recorded while the boat is still tied up rather than recalled afterwards.

  2. 02

    Deduction categories are agreed too

    What may be deducted, decided in advance. The amounts vary by trip; the categories should not.

    The sale figure comes from the auction

    From the transaction with the buyer, which is a third party with no stake in the crew settlement.

    The split is arithmetic

    Every crew member can follow the same calculation from the same numbers.

Bad trips stay bad trips. What ends is a poor settlement being indistinguishable from an unfair one.
